We have started building at our new site at Patch Elm Lane, Rangeworthy!
This special site was chosen so as to maximise views of the surrounding countryside and to allow light into our houses through orientation and layout and to allow for more garden and green space than the average new build home.
Each unit uses a simple organisation strategy with service core to the rear and accommodation facing out to the garden with views over the fields.
Each garden is planted with local plants and pre-made raised beds are to be constructed for productive gardening, along with a series of fruit trees planted for added maturity. Ample storage is also provided externally for both utilities and the trappings of modern family life, such as bikes, lawnmowers, tents, surf boards etc,.
The rural setting helps to promote the use of timber cladding that allows the majority of the build to be made from sustainable materials, from the skin inwards.
Check back here soon for some photos of the build!
